Emmet Ward (B. 1991) is an artist and writer from London, living and working in Bern. CV and Portfolio available on request.
Words are the through-line of Ward’s visual arts practice. His interdisciplinary body of work incorporates different mediums, yet words are always present.
Mythology, play and cultural memory are overlapping themes in his projects, expressed primarily by presenting image and text as coincidental references. Departing from the informative and illustrative to coalesce somewhere between serendipity and suggestion. Between expressions of the superfluous in the Information Age and Romantic gestures towards imagined realities.
